Getting Started with Abine

What is the Privacy Suite?

The Privacy Suite is software that works in your web browser (as a browser add-on) to give you privacy online and control over who has your personal info.

Added to your browser it starts to block many ways web sites track you by stopping the hidden information that your browser is constantly sharing (or "leaking") with other web sites. It also senses when you're filling out forms with personal information and lets you give aliases that you can use instead of your main private and personal info. So you can fill forms with aliases instead of your main email address or cell phone. This helps protect your identity and activity online. By adding more available Privacy Apps, the Suite can do even more to help you avoid spying, tracking, spam, identity theft, and much more.

Once it's installed here's what you'll see

First, you'll see little blue and red icon(s) in your toolbar (you can change these toolbar settings). That means:

  1. The Privacy Suite is successfully installed and is working!
  2. It's already blocking 116+ ad networks from tracking and sharing your visits.
  3. Open the HOME Tab to see if you’re running additional Privacy Apps.

The icons are buttons that let you bring up menus and privacy settings.

You can control if these icons are displayed by going to the PREFERENCES TAB and on that screen, choosing the menu item "TOOLBAR & BUTTON POSITIONS".

Privacy Suite Windows that you'll see:

The Privacy Suite helps you stay private by giving you options to fill forms and login without giving sites lots of personal info. If you want to have Privacy Suite pop-up only when you ask and not have it try and guess and make mistakes that could annoy you by popping up on forms or logins pages when not wanted. It’s easy:

  1. Open Privacy Suite,
  2. go to the PREFERENCES TAB and check "Turn off the login helper window and turn off the form-filler window" See how to do that here: Controlling Privacy Suite Windows.

"I was very surprised to see pictures of my former places of residence in your report - it's amazing how much detail these sites are able to obtain. Thanks again for your help. I'm glad I found your service." - DeleteMe customer, Neil
