When you go to a website, AutoPiilot generates a unique set of information (username, password, and email address) automatically. It then looks for form fields and puts this information in. All you need to do is hit the register button, and you'll be registering with unique, private, and secure credentials at every site.
You can change any of the information you want before registering (in case you really need to have the username "3l33th4x0r") or need to add additional information, such as a street address (see advanced features for how we can help there as well). Once you register, AutoPiilot will remember that account for you. When you come back it will be ready for you to login. If you have more than one account at a site we can help there too.
Finding out your AutoPiilot logins
If you're on the road or using your buddies computer, you might need to access an website where you registered privately with AutoPiilot. You don't need to remember your username and password. Just go to www.autopiilot.com and enter your passphrase and phone number (or use our iPhone or Android apps), and you'll be given your unique credentials.
Your credentials are generated for you on-demand, and are not ever stored online.
How Auto-pilot generates its unique information
AutoPiilot works by using a one-way hash function to generate unique information for every site. It takes several inputs, such as your pass-phrase, phone number, and the domain name of the website you are registering at to produce a unique set of credentials.
For extra security we break your pass-phrase into parts and use different pieces to for the generation of each part of the credential, making dictionary attacks infeasible.
