We are looking for exceptional, experienced developers to join our startup team on a full-time basis. You will develop and deliver products and services that will be used by millions of consumers, hundreds of thousands of times a day, so it has to a), work; and b), look and feel great -- something that you'd tell your parents to use. We work with browser plug-ins and web applications to implement new features and new interfaces, so it you need to have expertise in Javascript and web technologies.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Great software design skills, Javascript and experience with PHP and/or C++
- Know or can learn web application front-end technology (XUL/HTML/CSS/Javascript)
- Understanding of browser plug-ins and extensions and architecture
- 3 or more years of development team experience

UI Developer

We are looking for an outstanding UI Developer/Front-End Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis to help shape the current product and work on entirely new feature and products. This is a challenging user interface to develop product. Not only will the software will be used thousands of times a day, so it has look and feel great -- something that you'd tell your parents to use -- but we're working on some of the most complex problems consumers encounter on the web today. You'll need to figure out how to compress dense and complicated information into easy to use controls and displays. Think Edward Tufte on steroids. If you can turn the Space Shuttle's flight controls into an iPhone app then this is the job for you.
Responsibilities
- Produce an unending stream of great and inspiring mock-ups and designs
- Turn your mock-ups into front-ends with CSS, HTML, etc.
- Work with other developers to make the UI responsive, crisp, and delightful
- Optimize the UI so that it works across multiple browsers as client software
- Work with a small and talented team

Required Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrated experience building consumer interfaces
- Fantastic Javascript/HTML/CSS skills - you have to understand how front-ends are built

- Minimum of 5 years in user experience design, working on consumer experiences with proven results
- Experience solving browser compatibility issues

Roles and Responsibilities
We are creating a suite of online consumer privacy solutions that leverage the cloud as a development infrastructure and hosting solution. Our SaaS/IaaS architecture must support sites, services and devices serving millions of online consumers. The infrastructure must also support our global web crawlers that scour millions of sites for continuously changing and increasingly invasive privacy threats.
We are a funded startup seeking a highly motivated Cloud Operations Engineer to:
- Design and own scalability and availability of our cloud solutions
- Manage capacity growth
- Be a champion high availability practices and data security
- Provide/design solution for 24/7 application support, incident management, debug and troubleshoot operations processes to resolve production defects and root cause analysis
- Develop scripts and operate a continuous build and agile software release process
- Create a reporting dashboard that shows key operational and business metrics
- Assist the small but awesome team with simple IT needs like laptop provisioning, LAN set up etc
Talents
- 2+ years systems administration experience in a software development organization
- 2+ years in a 24*7 production operations role supporting SaaS offerings
- Scripting Skills (Shell, Perl, CGI, etc.), SSH, HTTP/S, Networking, web hosting technologies
- Knowledge of build management and automation systems (e.g. Maven, github) desired.
Pluses
- Project management skills
- Perspective on emerging technologies and process improvements
- Passion about online privacy and digital rights
- Experience working on consumer-focused product environments
- Direct experience with SVN, Linux networking, Hudson, and SVN
- Experience working with big data (Hadoop etc.)

Abine is looking for a Product Manager to create features from concept to design and then see them through the development process and over the product life cycle. This is an amazing opportunity because you will to be involved in ground-breaking product development, backed by the number one online privacy company. In your role, you will be a champion of the consumer experience by driving the definition, design, development and implementation of our Do not track plus and Privacy Suite offerings
What You'll Do
- Stay abreast of the latest tracking and profiling technology and capabilities across various platforms
- Drive product definitions, which translate and balance business needs, customer needs and technological capabilities into websites and browser add ons
- Serving as the product owner you will define product specifications as user stories, establish roadmap, and manage the quality test planning, implementation prioritization and marketing launch against goals
- Interface with the team support to ensure that customer issues are addressed in a timely way
- Measure product performance and identify key levers of improvement - including design and analysis of relevant reports
- Monitor the competitive landscape, identify and lead relevant market, site and consumer research needs
- Identify gaps in privacy functionality and offerings, as well as to assign priority to key product areas for development
What We Seek
- Minimum 3-5 relevant years experience including at least 1+ years experience in consumer Internet product development, either with an independent software developer or a larger leading Internet company
- Demonstrated consumer mind-set with preference for a D2C background
- Specific experience in successfully developing and managing new product launches including a proven ability to champion products and drive to key decisions
- Must have been involved in at least one consumer internet product launch, from start to finish
- Experienced in agile story management (SCRUM)
- Experienced business judgment, BS/BA required, technical background preferred, MBA a plus
- Excellent communication skills at all levels of an organization
- Flexible and open to change and new information; adapts behavior and work methods accordingly
- Can be relied upon to ensure that projects within areas of specific responsibility are completed
- Ability to balance time to market with a solution and make the right trade-offs along the way

Abine is seeking a "white-box" Quality Assurance Engineer to drive our automation and defect leakage prevention strategy. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining automated test plans, test cases and frameworks. You will also be responsible for thoroughly testing the product through all phases of development life cycle (Unit testing, regression/integration testing, end-to-end testing). Additionally, you will be required to work with out-sourced "edge case" QA teams (e.g Utest and mechanical turk ) . You will also serve as part of our support staff to ensure customer issues are addressed quickly and with quality results. At times, as white-box Quality Assurance engineer, you will be assigned Javascript defects to fix yourself.
Required Skills and Experience
- A passion for quality software a vision for how to do it and the chops to drive to world classness
- Javascript development experience.
- Software automation experience using automated test tools - i.e., Selenium , TestComplete, Silktest or Quick Test Pro (QTP)
- Experience writing test scripts

The Director of Acquisition Marketing will be responsible for executing all acquisition activities for Abine's core products. The ideal candidate will have hands on experience running traditional aspects on online marketing (SEO, SEM, display) as well as a vision to broaden and test new marketing channels that will grow Abine's business. This role will have responsibility of managing acquisition forecast and all reporting so ideal candidate will be ready to take on that challenge. This role will report directly to VP of Marketing.
Required Skills and Experience:
- A leader with demonstrated success in setting direction, planning and executing integrated marketing campaigns
- Competent with Google ad words and paid search
- Experience and knowledgeable in SEO
